acoustic guitar-driven, worship rock
Sweetragedy is an acoustic-driven worship rock band, originally formed in late 2001. Our goal is to see more people come to know the love and power of God through worship. It's not about music; it's about the One who created music and how we can get to know Him better (we just happen to like music!) As far as the band goes...well...Sweetragedy is basically just me (currently)...and whomever is playing with me at the time. We've gone through a pretty long season of change, with band members coming and going.

Story behind the song
I wanted to write a Christmas song for our church (and any others that choose to use it) that leads us to worshipping that Savior that was born on that very first Christmas day!
Lyrics
Holy robes, surrounding glory O King of All, You sat on High Yet, for my sin, became a baby You gave it all one Christmas night (CHORUS) O holy King! O humble King! To You our worship we will sing! You deserve more than we can bring; Yet, still You love our praise! From streets of gold and crystal sea To bed of straw near calf and sheep Though once enthroned above the stars You chose to live inside our hearts! (Chorus) (2ND CHORUS) O holy Child! O precious Child! You came and now we’re reconciled! No gift we bring will e’er repay The gift You gave on Christmas Day! (Chorus) (2nd Chorus) (TAG) No gift we bring will e’er repay Your gift of love on Christmas Day! No gift we bring will e’er repay The gift of You on Christmas Day!
