Thresea was a country girl.
Living in a  big city world.
You know shed dance in the rain    just for fun
She was a country girl, her life had just begun 
Some day,  this  country  girlwould only danced for one.

A country girl has to carry her load
Theres a family to feed, theres a garden to hoe
Oversize shoes and second hand clothes 
Growing up poor    on a long dusty road 
Starry eyed dreams, a girls  fantasy        fancy
From hand me down jeans, she waited anxiously
Anxiously family patiently rapidly
Thresea was a country girl.
Living in a big city world.
One sunny day dancing in the sun   just for fun
One look in his eye   she knew   he was the one 
Now,   this  country  girl only dances for one.

A country girl, now a woman learns soon 
Problems will swirl    when a love is new 
Two after one and three after two
A country girl    knows how to pull through
Their love it was true,     their hearts were interlaced
We remember the love,    but now theres no embrace
