Band/artist history
You are seeing it, unfold.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Initially, I did some performing in public (bars, community events, praise bands, and street fairs).
Followed by a period of.. re-interpreting songs made famous by popular artists. - A process that I started to find rather intriguing for a while.
Now, It's primarily about writing & producing a variety of "new" music... while enjoying various parts of the creative process.
Your musical influences
Anything and everything that I have ever heard has influenced me... in one way, or another.
What equipment do you use?
Bass, guitar and keyboards... mostly.
And, using DAW's for recording & producing projects to flesh out musical ideas.
Anything else?
I have always believed that the job of an artist has never been to merely reflect the status quo.
I feel the artist is also obligated to entertain, amuse, & educate... and, also to shock, appall, stimulate, irritate, and shatter old perceptions... while pushing the public in new directions they had never imagined.

Hey, Whatup GeeS1...
Yes, the term JAZZ has become rather nebulous these days... and can mean almost anything.
I always try to make distinctions:
Traditional - Ala Miles Davis Quintet (Miles, Hancock, Carter, Shorter & Williams)
BeBop & Swing Parker & Gillespie, Benny Goodman & Ellington
Fusion (Electric & Rock) - Ala Return To Forever, Tony Williams Lifetime, Mahavishnu Orch
Fusion (Funk) - Hancock's Headhunters (most notably), Bela Fleck &Flecktones
R&B-based Jazz - ala Grover Washington, Dave McMurray, Walter Beasley, Gerald Albright
I use the term Nu Jazz because it's a blend of multiple JAZZ forms (as described above), but in a way that NEW& contemporary.
Also, because... you have to use various categories for your tunes to continue to chart.
Like if you create three songs & you put them in the same category... like EXPERIMENTAL, only the most RECENT will chart statistically.
my Ai (well ok, it's Google's Ai) tells me Nu jazz is a modern fusion genre that combines traditional jazz elements with contemporary styles like hip hop, funk, electronic music, and improvisation...my ears tell me this sounds brilliant and that they love listening to it, great work here!
yeah, great piece of funk, horns r a sounding so so cool! dig this a lot Zak!
Top shelf sounds and a great groove!
